Different,

at the source.

Creating ideas that move people demands a specific kind of vision.

The difference between a business that's chosen and one that's overlooked is almost never the product or service. It’s the meaning people attach to it.

SCOOP STRATEGIES creates connection and value between what a company does and what its audience actually feels about it.

“Brand” is the meaning people carry about you.

“Branding” is how you shape that meaning.

Getting there takes a different kind of seeing.

Our approach builds more than identity. It builds meaning that earns relationships, not just transactions. We ask the questions your internal teams are too close to ask and find what's genuinely true and shape it into a narrative with enough precision and emotional weight that it moves people to connection, action, and loyalty.

Before brand strategy, SCOOP STRATEGIES’ founder Scott Lewis spent two decades as an internationally recognized photojournalist. His job was finding the unseen story, earning trust quickly, and creating images as stories that made people care. He is a winner of the Getty Images Grant, Pictures of the Year Community Awareness Award, World Press Photo People in the News category and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist while on staff of The (Raleigh, NC) News & Observer for ongoing coverage of Hurricane Floyd before spending years running businesses across sectors. Those same skills now drive SCOOP STRATEGIES’ approach to uncovering the truth inside organizations, finding the story that needs telling, and building brands people remember.

We work with founders and leaders who want a partner willing to seek and speak the truth, challenge the safe and generic, and build something essential.

"Scott's natural keen intelligence has been honed to a razor's edge through his accomplishments and experiences as an entrepreneur and award-winning photojournalist. Scott was most impressive as a creative problem solver when things got scary."
